Danish People’s Aid is expanding its community-driven work in Ukraine and is seeking a Project & Engagement Officer to support programmes that restore essential services, strengthen local resilience, and assist vulnerable groups—including IDPs and persons with disabilities—in Mykolaiv region and beyond.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, community-focused professional who thrives in humanitarian and early recovery settings.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Support implementation of DPA projects focused on community access to essential services, resilience, disability inclusion, and humanitarian response.
✔ Strengthen partnerships with local authorities, civil society organisations, volunteer networks, and community groups.
✔ Contribute actively to fundraising and resource mobilisation, including drafting proposals, preparing donor materials, and mapping funding opportunities.
✔ Collect data and evidence, support MEAL processes, and document impact and learning.
✔ Represent DPA in local coordination meetings and support communication and visibility materials.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian or development project implementation.
- Strong skills in community engagement, inclusion, or civil society partnership work.
- Experience with fundraising and proposal development is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of MEAL, data collection, and documentation.
- Experience working in conflict-affected or recovery contexts preferred.
- Fluency in Ukrainian and good English proficiency.
