Be a star. Create joy. Give Christmas help.
Christmas is the darkest time to feel left out
For 49,500 children, Christmas is not about wishes but about what they can do without
- In December, poinsettias shine everywhere. In schools, at work and at home in the living rooms, we hang stars in the windows, braid them, bake them and put them at the top of the Christmas tree. But the stars do not light up everywhere. Because while most of us celebrate Christmas as we usually do, 49,500 children in Denmark live in families with such deep poverty that it is difficult to afford food, medicine and even the most basic necessities for family life.
- When you support the Danish People's Aid Christmas Aid, you light a star for a child. You give light in the darkness, hope instead of worry – and a Christmas they will never forget.
The need for help is great
The Christmas aid is both a financial helping hand and a way to reduce the stress that comes with tight finances leading up to Christmas.
The Christmas aid is distributed in collaboration with Elgiganten, REMA1000, Ekstra Bladet and sendentanke.dk.
