STRONG CIVIL SOCIETY REQUIRES CLEAN WATER AND PROPER TOILET CONDITIONS

In Zambia, access to clean water and sanitation remains a challenge for many people, especially in poor and rapidly growing communities. Inadequate coordination and limited capacity in the sector mean that many do not have stable access to safe WASHservices.

Danish People's Aid works in Zambia to strengthen the water and sanitation sector through partnerships with national networks and civil society organizations. The efforts focus on strengthening the role of civil society in monitoring service delivery, influencing decision-making and ensuring that resources are used effectively and reach the most vulnerable groups.

At the same time, we support local engagement and collaboration between citizens, civil society and authorities, so that more people have access to sustainable solutions and better living conditions.
