PEOPLE'S AID IN THE WORLD

We provide emergency relief and create development in the world's hotspots

humanitarian aid in the world

We provide emergency aid and create development

between crisis and development

Famine in northern Uganda, drought in Somalia and war in Ukraine. When disaster strikes, quick and well-considered action is needed. In addition to direct emergency aid, Danish People's Aid contributes to greater resilience among the population, which enables them to move forward in life.

We develop services and systems so that everyone can have clean water and proper toilet facilities.

The population must be involved in the decisions. This not only creates a stronger basis for decision-making, but also ownership, sustainability and resilience against future crises. In this way, there is nexus – a bridge – between Danish People's Aid's efforts around the world.

Here we make a difference

DANISH PEOPLE'S AID IN SOMALIA

Clean water for Hassan and
his friends

12-year-old Hassan has fled his home in southern Somalia because of war and now lives with his mother in the Jawli camp for internally displaced people. Everything is lacking here for the thousands of displaced people. Even water. But together with the local organization KAALO, Danish People's Aid has established water stations in the camp, thus ensuring children and adults have access to clean drinking water.
