Lone and her son Emmanuel were on a one-week vacation with Danish People's Aid in the summer of 2025.
“I don't have the opportunity to give my son a real vacation, so the alternative was to spend the summer at home. All the families at the stay struggle with some things in their everyday lives, and it was liberating not to feel different and outside.”
