with from the beginning of the war

Danish People's Aid has been working in Ukraine since late summer 2022. We primarily focus on providing emergency and development aid in Mykolaiv, but also operate in Kiev.

Ukraine is experiencing increasing problems with security of supply. Therefore, Danish People's Aid, together with local partners, has developed a model for establishing drinking water facilities. Among other things, this has ensured clean water for 500 high school students in Mykolaiv. Our local partners are implementing the aid efforts.

A VOLUNTEER WITH A MISSION

From Jutland to Mykolaiv

Volunteer Ulrik Pedersen thought it would be easy. But it turned out that the task of transporting an unused generator to Mykolaiv was full of bumps in the road.

“Although the process was frustrating at times, I never had any doubts. That generator just had to go to Ukraine.”
