Would you like to help strengthen volunteerism and create strong communities around Danish People's Aid's social initiatives?
Danish People's Aid is looking for an experienced, committed and strong relationship volunteer and development consultant. You will be part of our work to develop and strengthen volunteering across the organization and will also have a central role in several of our concrete efforts.
The position combines daily contact and coordination with volunteers with the development of the volunteer area. You will therefore get close to our volunteers, colleagues and activities and help develop the framework and communities that make it attractive and meaningful to get involved in Danish People's Aid.
Your tasks
You will be part of various teams and initiatives across the organization, including our holiday assistance efforts. Among other things, you will:
- recruit, coordinate and support volunteers in our various efforts
- build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, local departments and relevant partners
- actively contribute to documentation, evaluation and reporting of projects
- support a good volunteer environment and ensure that our volunteers experience clear frameworks, good communication and a strong community
- contribute to developing new ways to recruit, engage and retain volunteers
- help develop the volunteer sector across Danish People's Aid's efforts.
Who are you?
We imagine that you thrive in and have experience with a role where relationships and volunteer development go hand in hand. You are good with people and can create commitment and support among volunteers, colleagues and partners. It is an advantage if you have experience from a voluntary organization or civil society actor, for example. in one of the following areas:
- association or organizational development
- volunteer management and development of volunteer environments
- recruitment, motivation and retention of volunteers
- development of volunteer communities and networks
- project management and development of initiatives
- to support local volunteer groups
- collaboration between volunteers and professionals.
The most important thing is not where you come from, but that you have a solid understanding of the possibilities and dynamics of volunteering and can translate that understanding into concrete action.
You work structured and independently, but at the same time see yourself as a team player who naturally fits into different teams. You have good written and oral communication skills, and you want to both make the daily operations work and help develop the area.

You will have extensive contact across the organization and the opportunity to make your mark on how we work with volunteerism and networking in the future.
The position is initially limited to one year, but with the possibility of extension.
